Maceo Plex links with Dallas songwriter and vocalist Ishi for a superb new single on his Lone Romantic label.

Maceo Plex is steadily building up to the release of his next album, having recently dropped the single ‘All Night’ featuring Belgian electronic pop sensation Oscar And the Wolf. He continues to be at the forefront of the electronic music world, headlining the globe's most renowned clubs and festivals and cooking up majestic synth-laden sounds in the studio. Here he works with Ishi, a talented producer and an ambitious live performer who takes influences from soul, funk, and folk as well as electro, techno and house. He dropped his long-awaited third album last year and once again wowed fans with his mix of immersive, uplifting sounds.

The moody 'Moon Sky' is an artful piece of downtempo electronica. It rides on slow and purposeful drum loops that complement the heart-aching vocal from Ishi. The heavy atmosphere is full of longing, with deeply buried bass and muted chords making for something inescapably moving.

‘Moon Sky’ is a different sound for Maceo Plex but as compelling as ever and will be released alongside a striking music video on the 3rd February.
